Jar Full of Stars - SOTW Reminder

Good morning! I'm dropping by this morning to share a card with this week's Stamp of the Week - and it is ADORABLE!!! Seriously, what could be cuter than a jar filled with stars? Well...maybe a jar filled with glittery stars!

Make sure and pop over to the website and read about the Stamp of the Week if you aren't familiar - a super adorable stamp lands in your mailbox each week, for less than you probably spend on coffee in a week! A fabulous surprise - and who doesn't love surprises!!

This one is so seriously fun to color - I love the whimsical feel to it! Once it was colored, I added some sparkly Stickles all over the stars, and finished off with a few clear droplets.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Inspiration Wednesday!

Hi Peeps!
This post is perfect for me today!!
I am so inspired it is CRAZY.
Ang and Whitney's [I miss Jolande] FaceBook videos inspire me SO MUCH!
They whip things out so fast and like it is nothing!
So I decided I will too!
I just layer and layer and layer LOL
I texted Andrea the entire time I made these and the goal was to keep piling on layers until it looked like I knew what I was doing!!

I found this beauty on Pinterest.  You can find it HERE
The problem is my coloring skills are similar to a toddler using those giant crayons.  I put the dictionary paper on with some Modge Podge.  Then I decided to grab some very old and nearly dried up Tim Holtz crackle paint in picket fence.  Then I used his bricked stencil and inked over that.
Then I embossed the light bulb on using Shine, Shine, Shine.  I put some Glossy Accents on that.  Then I embossed the girl from Spread Your Wings KOTM  5/15
Then I used a water brush and my Tim Holtz distressed inks smashed on an acrylic block.
See that giant red dictionary?  $0.99 at the Goodwill  WHOOP WHOOP!!  This is all it took to make the card.
I was having so much fun I went for round two!
Ding Ding!!
I also really LOVE this one!  Again, from Pinterest.  That place is loaded with so many talented people it blows my mind!!   You can see it HERE.

This one I did pretty much the exact same way.  Except I cut out the flowers.  I don't know why I made a brown flower.  I can't be good at everything and I guess colors is not my thing?  LOL  It was not a problem for me until just now but I am not fixing it!  LOL
The flowers are from Flowers + Friends = Priceless and the jar, i just embossed one of them it is from Jars of Love x 3  I also filled it in with Glossy Accents.

Here is what I used on my tag.  I use a removable glue dot to hold my blending pads on the bottom of the ink.  They will fall off but I want to stick with the same color on each one so I just try to be careful
I hope this inspires you to go get inked up!  It is so much fun!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!!

Design Team Tuesday

I recently found this photo and just had to scrapbook it.  My little peanut was only 4 (she is now 12) and as sweet as can be.  I loved to squeeze her little arm...over and over again.  I just couldn't help myself.  It got to the point that she would just offer it up first thing in the morning or every time she wore short sleeves.  It is such a special memory for me.  and that, my friends, it why I scrapbook.

I hope you find some time to scrapbook some memories today!

NEW Stamp of the Week with Camille!

Happy NEW Stamp-of-the-Week Sunday!

It’s Camille here to share with you this week's new Stamp Of The Week,"Stars in the Jar". It’s such a CUTE set. You can learn more about THIS subscription program HERE.

I created a 4-x-4-inch multimedia canvas with this set.

I'll probably find a home for this one sitting on a windowsill shelf. What do you think?

Kris Lancaster created a MAGNIFICENT card with it. Wouldn’t you LOVE to get this card from a friend or relative?

Here’s a peek at the set.
Clicking on the image below will take you to the Stamp-of-the-Week subscription page at Unity Stamp Company.

Have a snugly SUNDAY!!

SMAK LOL Saturday | Stephanie Gold

Happy Saturday everyone!! I did my VERY best at attempting some fun distress ink goodness (a la Jolande) and although it is definitely not my typical style, I think it turned out pretty cute! Here is my project:

Not bad, ehh? I used Tim Holtz distress inks and a paper towel (I don't have any of the little blending tools yet). The colors I used were Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, and Seedless Preserves.

The stamps are from this months Layers of Life (LOL) seen here:

But don't forget about the SMAK kit (Scrapbooking, Mixed Media, Altered Art Kit) either!!! This one would also be PERFECT for these fun distress ink techniques:

Thank you so much for stopping by!! Have you tried distress inks yet?!
I would love to know how you use them! Much love!

Xo, Stephanie
