It's Design Team Tuesday and I have a little tutorial to share with you using a new stamp called
Strawberry Greetings. When I design images, I try to create images that I myself would like to use. As this is a treat for me, I thought I would take some time to share a project made with a much distressed and layered
Strawberry Greetings. (Click on images to see them larger).
"Strawberry Postage Mail"
Card and Envelope
1. Using watercolor paper, ink two backgrounds (Spun Sugar Distress Stain and Willow Adirondack Ink) or similar. Drop water over top to distress further. Let dry.
2. Stamp
Strawberry Greetings over top of the pink and green backgrounds, and also onto one piece of patterned paper.
3. Using Spellbinders S4-348 Postage Stamp Nestabilities dies, die cut several pieces of the stamped images. Hold dies in place with tape. Emboss as well.
4. Repeat step #3 to get more postage stamps of the images.
5. Ink edges of die cuts with brown chalk ink (Chocolate and Blueberries Color Queue by Clearsnap).
6. Prepare cream colored square card (5.25 x 5.25), stamp
Strawberry Greetings in the center, then start placing your die cut pieces on top in the right position. Glue some directly to the card, then some with 3D Foam. Ink edges of card.
7. Die cut leaves on vine (#S7-017 On the Vine Border Grand by Spellbinders) and adhere bits and pieces in the corners.
8. Adhere cord and set into place with a hot glue gun (Glue Arts). Adhere button.
9. To make envelope, stamp image onto envelope and glue remaining postage stamp images.
