DT Tuesday

Hello!

Have you started creating cards for Christmas?
This month's sentiment kit is a great kit to kick start the Christmas cards project.

The deers are so elegant, aren't they?

Here are my cards...

For the background, I used Distress Oxide inks Black Soot, Faded Jeans, Salty Ocean, Seedless Preserves and Worn Lipstick. I sprayed some of the Shimmer Spritz to give it some shimmer. The deers are colored with Copic Markers and I fussy cut them and adhered to the background.

On this card, I colored the deer with Copic Markers and sponged some inks on the stencil placed on top of a white cardstock.

Now, onto the part I love most for Tuesdays.  They are the wonderful cards you have created with Unity and shared with us.

The first card that caught my eye is posted by Jean Kapp. I love the snowman and the beautiful background - perfect winter scene.

No automatic alt text available.

Next is this cute card by Becky Wall.  I love the cute reindeers and the background colors.

This last card is so gorgeous, by Amanda Garrett. I just love her use of watercolors.

The Unity peeps really inspire me every time.  You guys make the most awesome cards!!

Have a great day!!

Oh KOTM, we love you so much!

Hello Peeps!  It's Noelle posting today.
Christmas is getting closer!
This month's KOTM will put you in the Christmas mood for sure!
Conspiracy of Love.  Even the name is awesome don't you think?  That truck must be used next.  I love it so much!

I have a tip for you.  If you stamp on this bag, don't try to rush the drying time with a heat gun.  It sort of puckers up the bag and in no time flat LOL  I was so amazed at how fast it happened and how long it took my brain to connect to stop the heat LOL
I used Stazon ink and shimmery watercolors.   It was a breeze and I put my stamp block inside so the paint didn't get on the back of the bag.  A perfect bag for a gift card!
This tag soaked in my chalk ink like crazy.  I really love it though.  The shimmery paint on the bulbs didn't photograph too great.  I'm sorry I insist on using shimmery, I just can't stop.  LOL  I can't honestly even try to stop LOL
If you aren't already a KOTM member you should really check it out here.  You get a free shipping code for all of your orders along with it!  Such a screaming deal!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

SMAK Saturday with Angeline

Happy weekend !
Angeline here to share with you a card I made using an older SMAK kit "Inner Voice" from 09/16
I LOVE that the SMAK kits are not only for scrapbooking but also great for making cards.
Some of the stamps are so huge, it would make a great focal point on your card.

Here's an example of how I used the large beautiful flower from this kit for my card.

Unity Stamp: SMAK Saturday with Angeline #unitystampco #scrappyscrappy #smakkit #smak #scrapbook #card #cardmaking #craft #crafting #papercraft #zigcleancolorrealbrush #watercolor #floralcard #goldembossing #flowers

I stamped it in embossing ink and embossed it with Ranger's Gold embossing powder. I used watercolor cardstock because I am using the Zig Clean Color Real brush pens to color in the flower. I just colored the darker color at the bottom of each petal, then used a water brush to "drag" the color to the outer petal to create the gradient of color. If you're not into watercolors, these pens are great to try out!

Uniquely Unity- Vintage style!

Happy Friday!

Echo here with a card I made with this awesome vintage camera from the
Uniquely Unity Collection called Possibilities Await.

The Uniquely Unity Collection is 1 of 4 fabulous memberships that Unity offers!
To learn more about this membership click here.

For this card I ink blended the background with distress oxide in peacock feathers and regular distress ink in vintage photo. Mist with water and ink splattered in both colors. I then stamped the background using the Vintage Ledger background stamp. Stamped and colored camera with Copic markers. Fussy cut and stamped the script stamp from Hug kit in distress oxide peacock feathers onto colored camera. Added brown ribbon and distressed sentiment. Then spattered with diluted white acrylic paint.

I just love this vintage camera. So many possibilities await!
There is still time to sign up for this Uniquely membership.

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

What inspires you?

Hi Peeps!!
I love it when it's my turn on Inspiration Wednesday!
I am easily inspired most of the time and I love that!

Jolande inspired me so much during her visit!  They made everything look so easy in their videos didn't they?  I had this stamp set on my desk and then I saw what Sue Wisniewski put on FaceBook and I knew right away what I needed to do!
Isn't this lovely?  See those little pumpkins peeking out on top?  That even inspired my picture prop LOL
My daughter's cat follows me everywhere I go now that she has moved to college *SOB*  I thought photobombing Cali was so adorable I couldn't just crop her out!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Bes ure to look for inspiration on our blog and our facebook page!  So much talent!

DT Tuesday

Welcome to DT Tuesday!  Today, I am sharing a few Fall themed cards
with you featuring a some of our recent releases!  First one is an Angie girl!
I just adore coloring these girls, and this time I've colored this one
with my Copics!  I die cut some leaves, and tucked them underneath those
pumpkins by making a small slit and then slipping the leaves through.  Then, they were
glued onto the reverse side of the card.

Next up, is this "Fall to Go" cup, that's filled with something real warm and delicious!
I added some die cut some flowers and leaves that sort of mimic the colors
 and details from the cup!

Now, I have a few Unity {Show & Tell} projects made by some of our Unity friends...

Amanda Garrett made this awesome scenic card...so very gorgeous!

Jeanie Marie Hays created this amazing card adding some fabulous texture and
a little steam coming from the cup...it's the little details that
caught my eye on this gorgeous card...

Shannon Pavlovic Edwards made this very cool paper piecing card.   It is so truly stunning!

Come and join Unity {Show & Tell} to be inspired, if you have not already!  There's always so many amazing projects our Unity friends have to share with you on a daily basis!   I've only showed you a few here on the blog, to entice you to come and play along!!

Have a blessed & creative day!

Hug & Smiles,

Kit of the Month Monday

HI there!  Have you seen the new October Kit of the Month!  Get ready for the holidays!

I decided to use that fantastic tree on a card:

I stamped the images on white cardstock in black then I distressed the white using Distress Ink Antique linen to make the "music" background.  I used a distress tool around all the edges and added Black Soot Distress ink.  I love the grungy distressed look it's so fun.

Here is a close up of the glittery star and ornament.  I used yellow Glitter glue for the star and the colored ornaments I used a clear glitter glue.

Be sure to check out the details regarding the Kit of the Month subscription!  We all love fun mail every month!

Uniquely Unity Collection with Donna K

Hello everyone.
Donna K here with you today sharing another project using this month's
Uniquely Unity Collection kit.
The vintage camera stole my heart.  I was going for a sepia effect using vintage photo distress ink and similar colors in Copic Marker to get the sepia feel.  For the background of my card I used last month's SMAK kit  called Truest Life .....the filmstrip was perfect.
I can imagine so many ways to use this gorgeous kit.  Cards, layouts, mixed media...
definitely lots of possibilities.
Please do share your creations with us on the Unity Show and Tell Page on FB.
We love seeing what you are all up to.
Have a day full of happy!

NEW October Uniquely Unity with Angeline

Hello Unity friends and Happy October!
Angeline here to share with you the NEW Uniquely Unity kit "Possibilities Await" -- and it is gorgeous! Absolutely loving the vintage camera.

Here's a simple card I made with a rainbow background.

Unity Stamp Company: NEW October Uniquely Unity with Angeline - Possibilities Await #unitystampco #scrappyscrappy #uniquelyunity #card #cardmaking #papercraft #watercolor #rainbow #stamp #stamping #craft #crafting #katscrappiness #katscrappinessdie #borderdie #diecut

I stamped Uniquely Unity "Possibilities Await" stamp on some cardstock, and I painted in the background using some Adornit Watercolors. Since I wasn't using watercolor cardstock, the colors were not super blendy -- but that's ok, coz I wanted to get the sketchy look. :)
Then I die cut the card edge using Kat Scrappiness Fancy Stitched Scalloped border dies and adhered a kraft cardstock for the card base.
